I'm sure everyone is familiar with anionic polyacrylamide? But what applications can anionic polyacrylamide be used for?

As a common flocculant, anionic polyacrylamide is mainly applied in the solid-liquid separation processes in industry, especially in processes such as flocculation, wastewater clarification, and sludge concentration. Currently, the main industry applications of anionic polyacrylamide include: wastewater treatment in various industries such as urban sewage treatment, papermaking, petrochemicals, metallurgy, food processing, dyeing, sugar production, and mineral processing.

The main application scope of anionic polyacrylamide:

1. Treatment of domestic sewage and organic wastewater. Polyacrylamide exhibits positive charge in acidic, alkaline, and neutral media.

2. Anionic polyacrylamide is used as a flocculant for water treatment in waterworks with rivers as the water source. It requires a small amount, has good effect, and low cost. Especially when used in combination with inorganic flocculants, the effect is even better. It will become an efficient flocculant for water treatment in waterworks of the Yangtze River, Yellow River and other river basins.

3. Anionic polyacrylamide can also be used as a chemical additive in oil fields, such as clay anti-expansion agents and thickening agents for oilfield acidification.

When using anionic polyacrylamide, the concentration should be controlled at 0.1-0.2%. When no matching dissolution equipment and dosing system is used, a dissolution and dilution tank should be set up. Add it using a screw pump, and the dosage should be adjusted according to the actual situation. 

With the increasing environmental protection requirements, the usage of anionic polyacrylamide will increase significantly, and the current insufficient production capacity of anionic polyacrylamide in our country has become even more severe.
